ABOUT ME

Former tenor and Musical Director for the internationally acclaimed group The Ten Tenors. Shannon toured full-time for seven years, performing an average of 250 shows per year across five continents.

Recorded a Platinum-selling album 'Here's To The Heroes' at Abbey Road Studios with the London Symphony Orchestra, produced by Grammy Award winner Simon Franglen. Launched the album and performed at the Royal Albert Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Academy Award & Golden Globe winner John Barry OBE.

Shannon has a Bachelor of Music from the Australian Guild of Music. He is a senior lecturer and 2IC of music at Sydney’s JMC Academy. Shannon studied conducting at London’s Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of film composer Nicholas Dodd, who has orchestrated and conducted all the James Bond soundtracks since 1997.

Shannon has recorded with Sting’s guitarist Dominic Miller, American drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, & lyricist Don Black OBE. He has worked with Guy Sebastian, Paulini Curuenavuli, John Foreman OAM, Chong Lim AM, and James Morrison AM. He has toured with Marina Prior, Harrison Craig, and Texan country superstar Granger Smith.

Currently, Shannon is the Artistic Director of the Australian Symphony Orchestra and continues his fifteen-year collaboration as Musical Director & Tour Manager for Australia's Got Talent Winner, Mark Vincent, who has recorded nine consecutive albums reaching #1 on the ARIA Classical Crossover charts.
